Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and well-known comedians. She has been seen on QI together as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea is an Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea began her stand-up show in 2011after having appeared in small parts on several Irish television shows and British series from the year 2009. From 2012 on Bea began appearing on sitcoms or sketch comedy. In 2012, after she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear frequently in panel shows. She's been part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016 and she is a popular contestant of its spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan. She has a younger sister, Sinead. She was only the second ever female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny. Bea the name she was given as her maiden name, was a tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan, born Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. The father of her Brian was a veterinarian for horses who died at the age of three. Bea was three years old, though she did not know how he died until she turned 13 years old. The stage name she chose was Bea to pay tribute to her father. She she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about her family's experience of suicide. Bea was fostered by her younger sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary instructor, trainer of jockeys, as well as a former professional racer. She and her family loved racing, horses as well as the race industry. As a young girl, Bea employed as a tour guide for the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early stage that she was not attracted to the race industry as a job, and loved performing.
